OUR STORY / A LITTLE DETOUR, A SHARED MEMORY

Think of your favorite food.
Who comes to mind?

Maybe it’s a person. A place. A table you wish you could sit around one more time.

I’m Justin, the founder of Bite Detour. This brand started with a simple belief: trying different foods brings people together. The meals we remember often come with laughter, a good conversation, and family or friends beside us.

Our goal is to help you discover affordable restaurants around Phoenix that give you a reason to gather. A familiar favorite, a new dish, or a little place along the way. There’s always another memory waiting to be made.

We’re starting small, with useful menu information and a curiosity about the places that make our community feel connected. Come hungry. Bring someone along.

A TABLE I REMEMBER / JUSTIN’S FOOD MEMORIES

We came for dinner.
We filled up on chips.

Chili’s always reminds me of getting together with my childhood friends. We’d keep talking, keep eating chips and salsa, and somehow end up taking our entrées home.

Every time I go back, those memories come with me. That’s part of why I started Bite Detour: to help people find affordable places to gather and make memories of their own.

What restaurant takes you back to your childhood?

04 / HOW WE EARN YOUR TRUST

Useful first.
Honest, always.

How are listings put together?

Listings bring together restaurant information and menu highlights. The under-$20 shortlist includes official menu sources and checked dates. Confirm current prices, hours and availability directly with each restaurant.

Can a restaurant pay for a better ranking?

No. Content-service fees purchase deliverables. Any future paid editorial placement will be clearly labeled; it will not be sold as an independent recommendation.

Where do pictures and video come from?

The founder photos, food photography and Il Bosco sample footage were supplied by Justin for Bite Detour. The sample is an independent edit, not a commissioned restaurant project. Client work uses media we own or have permission to use. We do not copy review-platform photos into our guide.
